Good Morning Campers,

Coffee … the elixir of life.  Sometimes I think I drink WAY too much of the stuff, other times, not NEAR enough.  But, I do know that I don’t think that I can live without the stuff. 

It’s been a long week.  Not necessarily a bad one, just a long one.

COVID cases are increasing across the state so that means that things are getting difficult around the base, so that means my life is getting more difficult with my job.

I’ve received so many wonderful emails and comments from you guys about Baileigh, all I can say is … thanks.  You’ve helped a lot.  Hearing your stories and how you’ve dealt has helped a lot.

Stephanie says:

Fortunately, Ida was not bad at all in my area. The area southwest of New Orleans took a bad hit. I have only heard of 1 storm death. Most people paid attention. I hope this doesn’t cause people to take the next one lightly.

Your key to open a can brought back memories. 17 years ago, my son was in kindergarten. I always packed his lunch with whatever he wanted, within reason. One day I got a note from his teacher, saying she replaced his lunch with a slice of pizza. Her reason was , , , she didn’t have a way to open the can. She did let him eat his crackers though. I think she just didn’t want to open a can of sardines in the classroom!

Okay, that’s funny, and I bet you are 100% right.  I bet she just didn’t want that sardine smell in her classroom.

I relabeled all of the jars in my wife’s spice rack.  I’m not in trouble yet … but the thyme is cumin.

I thought that I was a good person, but the way I react when people drive slowly in the left lane would suggest otherwise.

I’m pissed.  The Last American Military Member left Afghanistan last night.  Climbed on the aircraft, got his picture taken and everything.  And we left Americans and Allies on the ground … and left them there. 

And as soon as we were gone, with the lists we gave them, they started going from house to house and shooting people…with the weapons we left behind.  And they took people, hung them by the neck from the Blackhawk helicopters that we left behind and flew them over the city in celebration. 

And our president had the nerve to come on TV today and tell the American people what a success it was.

And our president had the nerve to go to Dover AFB to meet the bodies of the thirteen brave men who fulfilled their final duty and gave their life to this wonderful country and he couldn’t even salute their caskets as their commander-in-chief.  And he couldn’t even be bothered to give the ceremony his undivided attention, instead having the nerve to glance at his watch as each and every casket was brought by him, like he had someplace more important to be.

And he had the nerve to say what a success it was.

Is he that clueless?  Is he that lost?  Or is it all done on purpose? 

I think it doesn’t really matter.  What does matter is that this man does not need to be, deserve to be, nor is he capable of being in charge of himself, much less this country.

Several parents of the fallen service members have said what a horrible experience it was meeting with him, that he spent the time talking about his son.  Well, one of the mothers went off on him and rather than stand there and take it like a man, he walked away like the pussy that he is.

And our friends, the Taliban, are now lining up the people that are remaining and telling them to renounce Christianity and when they don’t they shoot them in the head.  These are the people that we gave the names to … so they can be lined up and shot.

And he has the nerve to say that this is a success.

Yeah, I’m pissed.  I’m mad as hell.  But the real problem is … I’m not the only one.

I’m not really sure where to go from here.  It’s hard as hell to go back to laughter from here.  Plenty of tears … Lots of anger …

But laughter is what we really need right now.

So, that’s what we’re going to go back to.  Let’s battle this bullshit with laughter, cause that’s what we do.

MTV needs to stop doing TV shows like “16 and Pregnant” and start doing shows like “18 and Graduated” and “21 and Successful”

Before you write that I’ve violated someone’s rights, realize that all of the above is voluntary. If you want our money, accept our rules. Before you say that this would be “demeaning” and ruin their “self-esteem,” consider that it wasn’t that long ago that taking someone else’s money for doing absolutely nothing was demeaning and lowered self-esteem.
If we are expected to pay for other people’s mistakes we should at least attempt to make them learn from their bad choices. The current system rewards them for continuing to make bad choices.

AND while you are on Gov’t subsistence, you no longer can VOTE! Yes, that is correct. For you to vote would be a conflict of interest. You will voluntarily remove yourself from voting while you are receiving a Gov’t welfare check. If you want to vote, then get a job.

Mrs. Dragon just made the point, but what about the people who legitimately can’t work.  And I replied, that’s different.  Those people need to be taken care of and deserve to be taken care of and it’s our responsibility as human beings to do so.  This has to do with those people who won’t take care of themselves.  You want to be a permanent burden on society, then there should be consequences.

So … I’ve purposely not watched any news today because I have purposely not wanted to make myself sick to my stomach.  But, I did see where we retaliated against Taliban K who were the ones who supposedly set off the bombs that killed our guys.  From what I understand, we killed a planner and another guy.

 

 

It ain’t  near enough!   

And then I read another headline that said that more strikes are planned.

I’ll believe that when I see it.  And I’ll bet that won’t be near enough either.

The thing is … it won’t ever be enough, because it should have never happened to begin with.  The people who are responsible are not just over there.  There are a crap load of them over here that need to take responsibility.  Need to resign.  That won’t regain them any personal honor, but it might bring some stability and honor back to the United States. 

I do know that there are an AWFUL lot of pissed off vets out there.  Some of them are speaking out.  Some of them are giving up careers to speak their minds.   Good careers.  Long, many years worth of careers.

So, who do we listen to?  A career politician who has never seen anything more hostile than taking votes from constituents?  Or an honorable military member who has seen combat over and over again and has sworn to put his life on the line to protect this country.  The politician will never protect anything other than his own ass.

I don’t know about you … but for my money, I’ll always take the word of a veteran, any veteran, over that of any politician.

Politics was never supposed to be a part of the military.  But, how the hell do you avoid it?  I feel for the men who have spoken out, but am proud as hell of them, too.

T: Um…

M: I will need to see proof of her flu shot.

T: Um…

M: And also, can you provide me with proof that Jill is not a carrier of HIV, Hepatitis A or B, or any other communicable diseases?

T: Um…

M: Also, we would prefer not to be served by someone who is on or uses recreational drugs such as marijuana, cocaine, meth, fentanyl, etc, so if you could provide us with Jill’s most recent tox screen, that would be great.

T: Um… Let me get the manager for you.

M: Great idea, thanks. Oh and while you’re at it, I’ll need all those same items for you, the manager, the cooks and the busboys. Thanks so much.

And that, dear campers, is another great way to respond when they ask you to produce your vaccine cards at restaurants … you know … for those of you who don’t want to just say, “Fuck off!”  Thanks to John S. for sharing.

And speaking of Stephanie, let’s keep her and her family and any of our other campers who are in the way of Hurricane Ida.  Stephanie texted me yesterday to ask for prayers saying that she didn’t believe that Ida was going to behave as a lady.  I’m passing her request on to the rest of you.  I’m sure we have other campers in the area as well, let’s keep them ALL in our prayers to keep them all safe as this category 4 hurricane slams into our southern coast.  And let’s hope that New Orleans has fixed things since Katrina and they are a little better prepared.  Our love and prayers go out to all of the people there.

This morning my son said his ear hurt and I said on the inside or the outside, so he walks out the front door, comes back in and says both.  Moments like this got me wondering if I’m saving too much for college.

Good Morning Campers,

Got to be one of the most difficult things I’ve ever done in my whole life.  But, I’ve got to hand it to Mrs. Dragon.  She has got the fortitude of a mother dragon.  She woke up this morning (and a lot of you know her difficult health conditions) and felt like crap.  Said she didn’t think she could physically or emotionally go with me to take Baileigh to the vet.  I honestly didn’t think she would and with her blood pressure issues, wasn’t sure I really wanted her to.  But then she said she would drive down there with me to help with the drive.  I couldn’t ask Izzy Dragon, she was an emotional wreck.  When we got down there they were doing the whole, “call us when you get there and we’ll come out to the car.” But, we’ve got a really good relationship with the ladies who work there and they said at first, when they realized who we were that one of us could go right in and then that both of us could go in and Mrs. Dragon went from wanting to wait in the car to walking right in the door with Baileigh.  And then I watched as my beautiful bride sat on the floor with our old friend and smiled and cooed and petted and laughed with her as she fell asleep with her head in her lap.  And then she walked out with her head high and tears rolling down her beautiful pink Irish cheeks, holding my hand and then we cried together in the car before we drove back home.  I’ve never been more proud of her in my whole damn life.  To show strength and comfort and love to a friend, even when that friend is just a furry pet.  Well … they just don’t get any better than that.

And I want to thank all of you who have sent words of comfort and prayers to us over the last day.  You know who you are.  It means an awful lot.  Thank you so much.

And now, on to the laughter, cause today, we really need it.  Bombs going off at the Afghan airport; Biden screwing up; COVID numbers going through the roof; Biden screwing up; Vaccines that aren’t vaccines with FDA approval that really isn’t FDA approval; Biden screwing up; Yeah … we need some friggin’ laughter around here.  Bad!

Just heard that we lost at least ten twelve service members outside the Abbey Gate near the Hamid Karzai Airport.  They are calling it a complex attack.  What that means, is that they used one attack (a suicide bomber with a vest) to force the crowd of people toward another, second bomb (in this case a VBIED or Vehicle Born IED) designed to kill more people.  This means that it wasn’t some idiot with a bomb, but used some sort of strategy and shows that to some degree, they aren’t holding up their side of the “agreement”.  If you can even have an agreement with evil.  This administration is full of fucking idiots

So, there are some things that I need to wrap up in this issue.  There are a million memes popping up that I’m not going to search for over what’s going on right now with Afghanistan.  We are now up to 13 service members dead and that’s nothing to laugh about.  It was all handled horribly, but Biden’s response is appalling.  There is no leadership there at all.  And he proved it himself when he said, they gave me a list of who to call on … who gave him a list?  He’s the President?  He can call on whoever the hell he wants to call on.  Who is telling him what to do?  That’s the problem.  Not only is he an idiot, elected by idiots, he’s not even the idiot who’s running things.

Anyway …

Good Morning Campers,

It is with a sad heart that as you are reading this, Mrs. Dragon and I are probably at the Vet’s office putting our dear friend Baileigh to sleep.  She put up a good fight but fifteen years and three bouts of cancer was just too much for the old girl.  And as I’m writing this, with tears streaming down my face, and sobs quietly coming from my chest, she is sitting beside me wondering what’s wrong, because even to the end, she is a wonderful girl, wondering more about what’s going on with me then worried about herself.  But, the growth on her tummy has now started to bleed and she has begun to not eat and the doc says that it’s time.  She’s already deaf as a post and blind as a bat, she pees on the floor about as much as she makes it outside, but damn it all to hell, I almost hope God takes her in the middle of the night so I don’t have to walk her inside that office.

I’m very thankful that Mrs. Dragon is napping as I’m writing this and doesn’t see me crying my eyes out, but I know that I can share these tears with you, my fellow campers, because I know you will keep them quiet and to yourself.  And I know tomorrow, I will be strong and hold Mrs. Dragon’s hand and be there for her while she cries. 

It is a natural thing to lose a friend especially after so many years, but man, I’ve lost so many lately.  I think I’ve cried harder over Baileigh than most.  Funny that.

But, there are places to go and things to laugh at my friends, and if we’re going to get there, we need to take the first steps.  So, wipe our eyes and let’s get to it.

This Is 1938: First, They Came for the Unvaccinated

The time before the nightmare.

This is the most important commentary I’ve ever written.

It’s time for alarm bells. It’s time for me to play the part of Paul Revere: “The communist tyrants and dictators are coming! The communist tyrants and dictators are coming!” They’re coming first for unvaccinated Americans.

This is 1938. I’m a Jew. I now understand just a little of what it felt like to be a Jew in 1938.

But 1938 was not the Holocaust. It was the pre-Holocaust. It was the time before the nightmare, when the foundation was being laid to destroy the freedom, free speech, businesses and lives of millions of Jews.

Everything happening today to the American people … to the U.S. Constitution … to freedom … and particularly to unvaccinated Americans reminds me of 1938. This is only the beginning. It gets much worse from here.

First, “the papers.” Vaccine mandates and vaccine passports are just like 1938, when the Gestapo demanded papers from every German.

Republicans asked for “papers” from migrants who had broken into our country. Criminals. Democrats said, “No, that’s racism.” Republicans asked for “papers” once every two years for federal elections, to prove you have a right to vote. Democrats said, “No, that’s racism.”

Now Democrats want American citizens, not illegal aliens, not criminals, but patriots born in this country, to produce papers 24/7. We’ll need papers to enter restaurants, bars, nightclubs, concerts, casinos, conventions and hotels and to board a train, plane or bus. We’ll need papers to enter a supermarket, or we’ll starve to death. All for the crime of being unvaccinated against … wait for it …

The flu.

All for the crime of being unwilling to inject an untested, rushed to production, experimental, “for emergency use only” shot into our bodies.

What happened to the war cry of Democrats: “My body, my choice”? It only applies to murdering babies, but it doesn’t apply to dangerous experimental shots that we don’t want injected into our bodies.

Weren’t Jews injected with experimental drugs by the depraved Nazi government? Wasn’t that a key part of the Nuremberg trials? That no government could ever again inject experimental shots into the bodies of unwilling citizens? Isn’t that a basic human right?

By the way, this isn’t about vaccines. If you want the vaccine, take it. I’d never stop you. I’d never limit your freedom, your choice. This is about vaccine mandates — forcibly injecting Americans who don’t want it. That’s 1938.

But there’s much more in common with 1938. Mask mandates. If you’re scared, wear them. I’m not scared. I don’t want to wear them. Mandates are about forcing individuals to lose their freedom, choice, individuality and human rights. That’s 1938.

Lockdowns are a match with the Warsaw Ghetto. Jews were locked down. Jews couldn’t work. Jews couldn’t travel. Jewish businesses were labeled “nonessential.”

If government can force us to close our businesses, to kill our jobs, to decide who is nonessential, then this is 1938.

Stars on clothing. It’s coming. The vaccinated get into restaurants, bars, concerts, supermarkets, planes and trains. They keep their jobs. The rest of us are marked as “subhuman” for life. That’s the star. That’s 1938.

Media and social media as the public-relations wing of the government. That’s called propaganda. Remind you of 1938? Back then, the Jews’ books were burned. Today, it’s those of conservatives, patriots and specifically the unvaccinated. We are silenced. Our facts are labeled “misleading.” Only the facts that agree with big government’s agenda count. That’s 1938.

Door-to-door intimidation and making lists of those who disagree with “government knows best.” Trust me, that army of door-to-door vaccine brainwashers will soon be turned into a Gestapo of gun-grabbers. 1938 was the year Nazis banned Jews from owning guns. They took them door to door. That’s 1938.

Only days ago, a former Department of Homeland Security official said the unvaccinated should be on the federal no-fly list. That’s exactly how Nazis attacked the Jews and others who disagreed with their agenda. It was always lists. Lists of people to be disappeared in the middle of the night; lists of those to be sent to reeducation camps; lists of those to be sent to concentration camps; lists of enemies of the state. It’s happening again. Maybe this time you’ll only lose your job or free speech. This is, again, 1938.

It’s all disgusting and disgraceful. But I’m warning you, this is just the start. It’s all going downhill from here — fast. This is the end of America. This is 1938.

Unless we stop it now. Unless we take a stand now. Unless we draw a line in the sand now.

First, they came for the unvaccinated. Trust me: Next, they’re coming for you.

It took me a little while to figure out who wrote this, and I didn’t want to print it without the proper attribution, but I actually found it on another website.  I believe it was written by Wayne Allyn Root.  There is so much here that I agree with and have witness to each and every day, being a civilian member of the military.  It is scary.  And I guess I’m a bit hypocritical because I’ve obeyed my orders and gotten the damn shot, even though I don’t agree with the damn shot.  Well, I don’t agree with FORCING people to get the damn shot.  Get it or not, as you wish, that’s up to you, but as soon as someone tells you that you HAVE to get it, then they better be able to PROVE beyond a shadow of a doubt, emergency circumstances…and this ain’t them!

This damn thing isn’t as dangerous as the flu and pneumonia is every year.  And if you don’t believe me, the numbers are on line to prove it.

Anyway, I argue this case every single day, Mr. Root did a GREAT job of arguing his and we need to go back to laughter.

Good Morning Campers!!!!!

I’m back!  Thank you guys for your patience and understanding waiting for my return.  It’s not really a full return yet because I’m still recovering, but I’m getting there.  I’ll be completely honest … I’m not the young man I used to be and 12 hour shifts in 100 degree weather, in the sun and humidity … well … it almost killed me.  I need to hire some younger guys.  That’s me, to the right, just 14 years ago.  MOPP 4 slummin’ it!    Relaxed fit!  Don’t think I can do that anymore.  Now, I just have to yell at the younger kids.  Crawl phase.  That’s what this was.  Hell, what comes before the crawl phase.  We’re working our way up to walking and then running, but for now we’re at the crawl stage.  I’ll go back to my original question … what comes before the crawl stage?  Rolling over by yourself stage?  Shit your pants phase?  Not sure.  But, that’s where we started out at the beginning of last week. 

But, by the end … we were definitely approaching a walk!  Yup.  I’d say we were standing on two feet and were getting ready to take a real live big boy step!

It was a great week.  HARD     AS     HELL!!!!!  But a great week!!

But I am SO FAR behind in email, in news, in shit that is going on in the world.  I may never, ever get caught back up again, but I’m gonna give it a try. 

So, for now, let’s try to throw some humor your way, and I’ll try and get some emails caught up and cleaned and you guys know that I’m still alive and we’ll put this train back on the track again.
