Good Morning Campers!!! How about that retro header, huh? Pretty cool, right? Back when both of us worked on all the issues…Ah, well I thought it looked good on the top.
Got a really good issue for you guys today. Lots of stuff to laugh at, some stuff to get serious over. A couple of rants. Overall, a pretty good issue.
It’s late, and we’re dodging lightning storms, so I’m going to quit this opening statement and get this baby to press, so whattaya say we get going and …
Paul sent us the above milk carton and before I had a chance to reply, Lethal Leprechaun replied and copied me (as we usually do with each other) and I thought it appropriate to add his reply here:
Tis a sad day indeed. This obituary was recently printed in the London Times. All I can say is that I knew he was sick, but didn’t realize how far he had slipped. He will be sorely missed…
Sorry kid, the “I didn’t have time to do my homework” excuse just ain’t gonna work!
Article shows that there might just be hope for America after all!

IF YOU DON’T STAND BEHIND OUR TROOPS…..
……FEEL FREE TO STAND IN FRONT OF THEM.
It’s falling apart on the left all across the country…
One of my favorite jokes of all time!
Suddenly I realized I must have left them in the car. Frantically, I headed for the parking lot. My husband has scolded me many times for leaving the keys in the ignition.
My theory is the ignition is the best place not to lose them. His theory is that the car will be stolen.
I immediately called the police. I gave them my location, confessed that I had left my keys in the car, and that it had been stolen.
There was a period of silence. I thought the call had been dropped, but then I heard his voice. He barked, “I dropped you off!”
Now it was my time to be silent. Embarrassed, I said, “Well, come and get me.”
He retorted, “I will, as soon as I convince this policeman I have not stolen your car.”
Yep, it’s the golden years.
The desire to use this to poke fun at Lethal Leprechaun was almost overwhelming!
Black Irish
At the National Art Gallery in Dublin , a husband and wife were staring at a portrait that had them completely confused.
The painting depicted 3 black men totally naked, sitting on a bench.
Two of the figures had black penises, but the one in the middle had a pink penis.
The curator of the gallery realized that they were having trouble interpreting the painting and offered his personal assessment.
He went on for over half an hour explaining how it depicted the sexual emasculation of African Americans in a predominately white, patriarchal society.
‘In fact’, he pointed out, ‘some serious critics believe that the pink penis also reflects the cultural and sociological oppression experienced by gay men in contemporary society’.
After the curator left, an Irishman approached the couple and said, ‘Would you like to know what the painting is really about?‘
‘Now why would you claim to be more of an expert than the curator of the gallery?‘, asked the couple.
‘Because I am the artist who painted the picture,’ he replied.
‘In fact, there are no African Americans depicted at all. They’re just three Irish coalminers. The guy in the middle went home for lunch.
I looked up this case on line and found a great article on Wikipedia here. Go ahead and read through and we’ll talk again at the end. As usual, you’ll see my comments inserted throughout the article…
You’re sound asleep when you hear a thump outside your bedroom door. Half-awake, and nearly paralyzed with fear, you hear muffled whispers.
At least two people have broken into your house and are moving your way.
With your heart pumping, you reach down beside your bed and pick up your shotgun. You rack a shell into the chamber, then inch toward the door and open it.
In the darkness, you make out two shadows. One holds something that looks like a crowbar. When the intruder brandishes it as if to strike, you raise the shotgun and fire. The blast knocks both thugs to the floor. One writhes and screams while the second man crawls to the front door and lurches outside. (According to the Wikipedia article, Martin was shooting downwards (with birdshot) at the intruders who were at that moment trying to flee through a window. One was shot in the leg, the other in the back. The later made it through the window but died at the scene.)
As you pick up the telephone to call police, you know you’re in trouble.
In your country, most guns were outlawed years before, and the few that are privately owned are so stringently regulated as to make them useless..
Yours was never registered.
Police arrive and inform you that the second burglar has died. They arrest you for First Degree Murder and Illegal Possession of a Firearm.
When you talk to your attorney, he tells you not to worry: authorities will probably plea the case down to manslaughter.
“What kind of sentence will I get?” you ask.
“Only ten-to-twelve years,” he replies, as if that’s nothing. “Behave yourself, and you’ll be out in seven.”
The next day, the shooting is the lead story in the local newspaper. Somehow, you’re portrayed as an eccentric vigilante while the two men you shot are represented as choirboys. Their friends and relatives can’t find an unkind word to say about them..
Buried deep down in the article, authorities acknowledge that both “victims” have been arrested numerous times.
But the next day’s headline says it all:
“Lovable Rogue Son Didn’t Deserve to Die.”
The thieves have been transformed from career criminals into Robin Hood-type pranksters..
As the days wear on, the story take wings. The national media picks it up, then the international media. The surviving burglar has become a folk hero. Your attorney says the thief is preparing to sue you, and he’ll probably win. (He did attempt to sue, but dropped the suit when Martin counter sued) The media publishes reports that your home has been burglarized several times in the past and that you’ve been critical of local police for their lack of effort in apprehending the suspects. After the last break-in, you told your neighbor that you would be prepared next time. The District Attorney uses this to allege that you were lying in wait for the burglars.
A few months later, you go to trial.
The charges haven’t been reduced, as your lawyer had so confidently predicted. When you take the stand, your anger at the injustice of it all works against you. Prosecutors paint a picture of you as a mean, vengeful man. It doesn’t take long for the jury to convict you of all charges.
The judge sentences you to life in prison. (Just to keep the record straight: On 10 Jan 2000, Brendon Fearon, 29, and Darren Bark, 33, (who acted as the getaway driver) admitted to conspiring to burgle Martin’s farmhouse. Fearon was sentenced to three years in prison, and Bark to 30 months (with an additional 12 months arising from previous offences. By the way, Fred Barras, the dead one, who was 16, had been arrested 29 times by the time he died. He had also been sentenced to young offender’s institution for assulting a policeman, theft and being drunk and disorderly. Okay, if he had been arrested 29 times by the time he was 16, WHAT THE HELL WAS HE EVEN DOING OUT OF PRISON???!!! He should’ve been locked up a long time ago. But the real problem is that these guys got less than 3 years
apiece and Martin, who was defending himself, got life!!!)
This case really happened.
On August 22, 1999, Tony Martin of Emneth, Norfolk, England, killed one burglar and wounded a second.
In April, 2000, he was convicted and is now serving a life term… (Okay, again, not so true. In October 2001 his case was appealed and reduced to manslaughter. On 28 July 2003, Martin was released after serving three years of his five-year sentence, the maximum period for which he could be held following good behavior.)
How did it become a crime to defend one’s own life in the once great British Empire?
It started with the Pistols Act of 1903.
This seemingly reasonable law forbade selling pistols to minors or felons and established that handgun sales were to be made only to those who had a license.
The Firearms Act of 1920 expanded licensing to include not only handguns but all firearms except shotguns..
Later laws passed in 1953 and 1967 outlawed the carrying of any weapon by private citizens and mandated the registration of all shotguns.
Momentum for total handgun confiscation began in earnest after the Hungerford mass shooting in 1987.
Michael Ryan, a mentally disturbed man with a Kalashnikov rifle, walked down the streets shooting everyone he saw. When the smoke cleared, 17 people were dead.
The British public, already de-sensitized by eighty years of “gun control”, demanded even tougher restrictions.
(The seizure of all privately owned handguns was the objective even though Ryan used a rifle.)
Nine years later, at Dunblane, Scotland, Thomas Hamilton used a semi-automatic weapon to murder 16 children and a teacher at a public school.
For many years, the media had portrayed all gun owners as mentally unstable, or worse, criminals.
Now the press had a real kook with which to beat up law-abiding gun owners. Day after day, week after week, the media gave up all pretense of objectivity and demanded a total ban on all handguns.
The Dunblane Inquiry, a few months later, sealed the fate of the few sidearms still owned by private citizens.
During the years in which the British government incrementally took away most gun rights, the notion that a citizen had the right to armed self-defense came to be seen as vigilantism. Authorities refused to grant gun licenses to people who were threatened, claiming that self-defense was no longer considered a reason to own a gun. Citizens who shot burglars or robbers or rapists were charged while the real criminals were released.
Indeed, after the Martin shooting, a police spokesman was quoted as saying, “We cannot have people take the law into their own hands.” All of Martin’s neighbors had been robbed numerous times, and several elderly people were severely injured in beatings by young thugs who had no fear of the consequences.
Martin himself, a collector of antiques, had seen most of his collection trashed or stolen by burglars.
When the Dunblane Inquiry ended, citizens who owned handguns were given three months to turn them over to local authorities. Being good British subjects, most people obeyed the law. The few who didn’t were visited by police and threatened with ten-year prison sentences if they didn’t comply.
Police later bragged that they’d taken nearly 200,000 handguns from private citizens.
How did the authorities know who had handguns?
The guns had been registered and licensed. Kind of like cars. Sound familiar?
WAKE UP AMERICA;
THIS IS WHY OUR FOUNDING FATHERS PUT THE SECOND AMENDMENT IN OUR CONSTITUTION.
“…It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people’s minds..”
Samuel Adams
If you think this is important, please forward to everyone you know.
You had better wake up, because Obama is doing this very same thing, over here, if he can get it done.
And there are stupid people in congress and on the street that will go right along with him.
Okay, so the article is not quite right in some areas. But in essence, it tells a true story and it’s a tremendous warning to us here in the United States.
Tired of that sore burning sensation in your anus?
Well, we here at Dragon and Leprechaun Laffs Electronic Media has the solution

Still steamed, I noticed that we had gotten off at the same exit and the convertible’s driver had pulled into an office complex parking lot.
So I pulled my car over and waited for the driver to leave the parking lot and enter the building.
As luck would have it, I had just made a stop at the supermarket, and I had a loaf of bread that I was willing to ‘donate to the cause.’
I tore up many slices of bread and threw the pieces into the front and back seats of the open convertible. Then I drove out of the lot and pulled off across the street to watch.
One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors
(Thanks Jeannie)
Face it, Obama doesn’t give a crap about Americans. He doesn’t care about our safety or OUR rights. We have the RIGHT to tell ILLEGALS to get the hell out of our country and come in the right way. The legal way.
He told the Supreme Court, the citizens of Arizona and all other border states and every single American, “GO TO HELL.”
I am very proud to introduce the next guest ranter…a new generation of pissed off camper, my son:
GET A GRIP AMERICA!!! Why are we are letting teachers politically brain wash our kids? Why are they pushing our children into thinking that Obama is a god? Don’t believe me? Look at the videos Lethal posted and then go listen to some good old Gospel music…. Sound’s the same, right? Teachers should teach our children in an unbiased manner, not to their own agenda!
I was in school when O.J. Simpson was standing trial for murder. Sure our teachers had opinions but they gave us the facts and let us make our own decisions. But now it’s, “You will sing, you will not bad mouth, you will not question”. Holy hell, I thought that’s what the freedom of speech was? I am so sick and tired of “we got one of us in office now we are going to prove that we can do it better.” If you are an American and there is an American in office then you have ONE of you in office. We are at war people! It is not a foreign war; it is a war in our own homes. And we are at war with each and every person who feels the constitution defines the pursuit of happiness as you working for someone else’s happiness. The “pursuit” of happiness does not mean that you have the RIGHT to happiness; it means you have the right to attempt to obtain it. If our president cannot understand this, then he is incapable of doing his job. As the leader of our country it is his duty to uphold and maintain the constitution. How can he do this when he cannot understand the definitions of the words with in? It’s time to wake up America! It is no longer a distant cloud on the horizon. It is a full force gale and your windows are open. Standup, be proud, and be heard. WE ARE AMERICAN CITIZENS AND WE AREN’T GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE! Our families moved to this country and worked their fingers to the bone. They weren’t given ANYTHING. They fought for it with blood, sweat, and tears, so why are we giving the rest of the world a free ride?
It is a privilege to be in politics, not a bullet-point on a resume!
Sincerely
The Whelpling
Outstanding. Thank you, son. Oh, and by the way, “It’s a full force gale and your windows are open.” Nice line. Really nice.
and in a 3 generation dragon issue, my Dad sends me this great link:
And note the almost complete lack of basic safety equipment. I saw only one pair of safety glasses, and only a few of the workers were wearing gloves. Working without gloves around sheet metal is an injury waiting to happen.
My old friend Todd, who sent us the picture of the MJ-4 last week and who has contributed several times to our story line has sent us a great article and some of his own opinions on the matter:
Read this on Breitbart….
I know Lethal is aware of liberal media bias and it’s rampant. It’s “burning of Rome” rampant. Wildfire.
It’s a great letter and of course the MSM won’t pay it any attention even though the producer who wrote it has been there for over two decades.
Their ideology trumps everything. Their collective stupidity has reached its pinnacle and it’s on display for everyone to see.
These are the idiots we sat next to in high school who forgot their pencil in math class….EVERY DAY.
These are the people who found it more important to continue to try to “be cool” than to learn something and be a productive member of society with a marketable skill.
In short, they used their brains for all the wrong reasons and never learned the sometimes painful activity of critical thinking.
But I’m pleased this NBC producer said what he did and put it in writing.
Share with everyone!
This is called Choppy Seas by the person I got it from. I’m sorry, these seas aren’t choppy, they are damn right scary! I suggest going to full screen once you start the video. Oh? Today, we are going to talk about healthcare and how not having insurance will cause you to be taxed. I know, I know, I can hear you all saying the same thing.
“What the hell is Impish talking about now?”
But that is what we are now talking about. The Justices of the Supreme Court have ruled (5 to 4) that Obamacare is legal because it’s a tax.
But…
But…
But Obama told us it wasn’t a tax!
And, and Congress told us it wasn’t a tax!
And Nancy! Nancy told us it wasn’t a tax and that we just HAD to pass it in order to read it and find out what’s in it.
Well, now the Supreme Court tells us exactly what’s in it… the largest retroactive tax in the history of this country.
Oh my goodness!!!!!
Say it ain’t so!!!
Obama lied? Really? And Congress? Congress lied? And Pelosi, Pelosi lied, too?
Let me make this perfectly clear…and I’ll speak slowly so you liberals, who tend to hear only what you want to hear, can understand as well:
Obama lied!!!!!!!!!! Pelosi lied!!!
Did they open their mouths and did words come out? Then they couldn’t help but lie! If this was anyone other than the holy one, the press and every one in the country would be raising hell, but instead, everyone seems determined to make excuses for this prick. He lied about health care, about visibility, about his birth certificate, his college transcript, …
WHAT THE HELL DO THESE PEOPLE NEED? Video tape of him robbing a liquor store? The press would still make excuses for him.
Now, this from Jeannie, who culled some of the better comments from today:
If Congress says so, you can buy fries with that OR pay the no-fries tax.
Great news comrades! Health care for all is now the law of the land! Because as everyone knows, if you want something run more efficiently, with better customer service and for a lower cost, the BEST place to turn to is where else, the government! Personally I can not wait until my health care is delivered to me with the speed of the DMV, the customer service of the IRS and with the simple rules of a town government construction permit office! (Ever try to put an addition on you house and go through the local zoning board? So easy, so simple so efficient!)
So, on to business. How does it feel to finally have this unnecessary burden of freedom taken off your shoulders, comrades, now that Congress can pass any bill they want as long as it has a penalty tax? In other words,
How does it feel to be a subject of the One today?
Based upon this decision, virtually anything can now be mandated by the federal government, as long as there’s a tax if you choose not to follow the mandate. How’s that for legal precedent?
Health care hasn’t actually become any more available now than it was before, only now it also costs money to nothave health care. Meaning that Obama’s supporters whose main complaint is not having health care now have to pay to not have health care. But their support is none the weaker. The worst part is that they don’t seem to understand that whatever the government provides, it can withhold. When the free market is destroyed, there are no competitors to turn to. And when the government thus becomes the sole provider of health care, it can suspend your health and let you die for any reason. You don’t like that? Too bad, no health care for you.
I think Roberts led the SCOTUS’ lefties down the garden path. They went along happily, skipping, and hopping, and jumping, and singing, while they thought they just gave the conservatives a big loss. But what happened was the four liberals on the Supreme Court, including the two Obama appointed, just called Obama a liar.
Perhaps, 40 years from now, we will look back and think “Roberts was an American Hero, … he showed us the true face of Obama.”
Now, let’s make every household pay a TAX if its occupants fail to install low-flush, energy-efficient toilets. HAHAHAHA. It’ll be constitutional, bitches!
Okay, that’s nice. Truly it is. But here’s an opinion that I found VERY interesting and the longer I think about it, the more I think it might very well be that Justice Roberts didn’t change sides as much as he is thinking further in the future and has put the ball square into the GOPs court. But, don’t listen to me. What the hell does a dragon know from politics, anyway? Check this out:
Lipstick on a Pig??
As you have no doubt heard by now, the Supreme Court largely upheld Obamacare with Chief Justice John Roberts writing the majority 5 to 4 decision. Even Justice Kennedy called for the whole law to be thrown out, but John Roberts saved it.
Having gone through the opinion, I am not going to beat up on John Roberts. I am disappointed, but I want to make a few points. John Roberts is playing at a different game than the rest of us. We’re on poker. He’s on chess.
First, I get the strong sense from a few anecdotal stories about Roberts over the past few months and the way he has written this opinion that he very, very much was concerned about keeping the Supreme Court above the partisan fray and damaging the reputation of the Court long term. It seems to me the left was smart to make a full frontal assault on the Court as it persuaded Roberts.
Second, in writing his opinion, Roberts forces everyone to deal with the issue as a political, not a legal issue. In the past twenty years, Republicans have punted a number of issues to the Supreme Court asking the Court to save us from ourselves. They can’t do that with Roberts. They tried with McCain-Feingold, which was originally upheld. This case is a timely reminder to the GOP that five votes are not a sure thing.
Third, while Roberts has expanded the taxation power, which I don’t really think is a massive expansion from what it was, Roberts has curtailed the commerce clause as an avenue for Congressional overreach. In so doing, he has affirmed the Democrats are massive taxers. In fact, I would argue that this may prevent future mandates in that no one is going to go around campaigning on new massive tax increases. On the upside, I guess we can tax the hell out of abortion now. Likewise, in a 7 to 2 decision, the Court shows a strong majority still recognize the concept of federalism and the restrains of Congress in forcing states to adhere to the whims of the federal government.
Fourth, in forcing us to deal with this politically, the Democrats are going to have a hard time running to November claiming the American people need to vote for them to preserve Obamacare. It remains deeply, deeply unpopular with the American people. If they want to make a vote for them a vote for keeping a massive tax increase, let them try.
Fifth, the decision totally removes a growing left-wing talking point that suddenly they must vote for Obama because of judges. The Supreme Court as a November issue for the left is gone. For the right? That sound you hear is the marching of libertarians into Camp Romney, with noses held, knowing that the libertarian and conservative coalitions must unite to defeat Obama and Obamacare.
Finally, while I am not down on John Roberts like many of you are today, i will be very down on Congressional Republicans if they do not now try to shut down the individual mandate. Force the Democrats on the record about the mandate. Defund Obamacare. This now, by necessity, is a political fight and the GOP sure as hell should fight.
60% of Americans agree with them on the issue. And guess what? The Democrats have been saying for a while that individual pieces of Obamacare are quite popular. With John Roberts’ opinion, the repeal fight takes place on GOP turf, not Democrat turf. The all or nothing repeal has always been better ground for the GOP and now John Roberts has forced everyone onto that ground.
It seems very, very clear to me in reviewing John Roberts’ decision that he is playing a much longer game than us and can afford to with a life tenure. And he probably just handed Mitt Romney the White House.
*A friend points out one other thing — go back to 2009. Olympia Snowe was the deciding vote to get Obamacare out of the Senate Committee. Had she voted no, we’d not be here now.
Sincerely yours,

We now have the 2012 election in a nut shell. May God have mercy on our souls.
In regard to your comments on the ACLU. They should be reminded of the meaning of the first word in their title. Also, I think it is time someone looked the source of their financing.
I agree with your thought regarding an investigation into the ACLU’s funding John but I’d like to add Rev. Jesse Jackson & Al Sharpton to your list of “America Attackers” whose revenue sources should be audited!
BTW folks- Impish pointed out that if you are tired of playing “The Crying Game” with the Democrats the solution is to vote them out of office by voting Republican. Well I’d like to give you another option if that’s a little too far in the other direction for you. Vote Centrist, vote for Common Sense (or at least his memory) by voting Dragon-Leprechaun 2012.
The picture of us here in Texas buying guns was ALMOST correct. However no serious self-respecting Texan gun enthusiast would ever DREAM of buying “off the rack”. We insist on trigger jobs, accessorizing & accurizing. The most discriminating of us will insist on serious customizing.
That IS the way that is rather how we obtain our AMMO! In full boxes, preloaded clips, magazines or speed loaders covering all the popular manufacturers, styles and popular calibers.
