Saying Goodbye to a Friend

I just found out tonight that a very good friend, a respected member of the community andhalf-mast a person I personally respected a great deal, has died.  Kenneth Roland, newly retired sheriff of Miami County in Indiana died of medical problems on Wednesday evening.

Kenny, you will be sorely missed.

My friends, I’m afraid this is not a laughing time for me.  I’m sorry.  I’m sure our dear friend Lethal will continue on in my place, but I will be taking a short break from the  laughter and talk to you again soon.

Impish again please accept my condolences at the loss of your friend. Having spoken with you previously, I know how much this gentleman meant to you and just how profound your loss is.

I would also beg your forgiveness for editing your post. Normally I would never think to do so as we have a firm understanding about that sort of thing. However in this particular case I felt the compelling need to render honors and this was the best way I could think to do it.
