More Bad News…But

I don’t know how to say this other than just coming out and saying it. My little brother, the Owl has passed away. I found out last evening when I was on my way home from spending time with my Granddaughters. I got a call from a Deputy in Florida who was extraordinarily kind. He asked me if I was driving, I told him I was just pulling up to my house. He waited for me to stop and said he hated to tell me this way but that they were trying to find me for the past couple of hours and couldn’t.

Then I had to go in the house and find a funeral home in Florida, from Indiana, that would go and pick up his body. At about ten at night. And I have been dealing with things, almost non-stop ever since. I guess I’m about the only next of kin that he has.

I’m going to have to fly to Orlando. Soon, but I don’t know when. I have to get things taken care of at work, first. I have no idea what to do.

I have two requests from you guys. And I know you guys will come through for me like you always have;

#1 Pray for me. Pray that pathways will be opened, that God will be a comforter, and other people will also step up and help in all the things that will need to be done.

#2 Understand that I will be gone from here for an undetermined amount of time, but that I will be back.

    Big Ouch and sympathies to you but please when and if you find out let us know what got him. I understand he was 53 and in this brave new world that is way too young. Please be safe and watch yourself on the journey ahead that I am sure will go on far longer than you think.

    So sorry to hear that, our condolences. Had to do long distance arrangements too, not easy but you make it through. As you are aware, the shock numbs you and later on you feel the deeper loss.

    Oh Dragon, I am so sorry to hear this. While I (we) thank you for it, now is NOT the time to be thinking of us — concentrate on yourself and your family. We know God will get you through this (just as he has in the past).
